Fly fishing adventures in Slovenia
SLOVENIA’S rivers are astonishing

Fly Fishing in Slovenia

Sovenia's trout rivers are astonishing. The Soca and it's tributaries, Nadiza, Idrijca, Trebuscica and Baca – combine to offer over 500 kms of fabulous trout water in some of Europe’s most magnificent scenery.

The Soca's waters tumble from the snow capped peaks of the Julian mountains, absorbing sediment on a journey through limestone gorges and thence transformed to an aquamarine of startling clarity.

The Soca Valley Riverfabled Marble trout

The Soca Valley river system is home to genuinely wild rainbow, grayling, browns, and to Slovenia's fabled Marble trout, found nowhere else in the world.

Marbles can grow to a whopping 25 kilos, but on average, fish of 50 cm are regularly taken on a daily basis.

And also, rainbows, browns and graylings are no strangers to trophy size. September to November being the best period for specimen grayling.

Guided Fishing is included in all our packages

Guided Fishing is included in all our packages, as are fishing day transport and bank side picnic lunches (supplied by the hotel) And all our guides are English speaking.

When fishing the Soca valley system the angler is spoilt for choice. It’s a very unusual day when none of the rivers are fishable no matter what the conditions.
